Job Title: Dry Returns Clerk

Schedule: PM (1: 30 PM)

Pay Rate: $16.66/HR

Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D




Job Purpose: Lead the day-to-day activities of the Returns department. The lead directs teams of employees to meet the safety, quality, and productivity goals of the operation.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Fill out times on schedule
  • Report attendance issues
  • Work closely with Logistics dispatch and yard dog
  • Coordinate dock doors and trailers in the yard
  • Supply local vendors with their daily supplies of trays, totes, and crates
  • Fill out hand tags
  • Complete shipping log
  • Monitor the daily offloading of empties
  • Ensure that empties are separated and sorted
  • Submit weekly schedule
  • Start tray wash for AM
  • Conduct daily safety meetings
  • Follow instructions for safely operating equipment
  • Have an understandable knowledge of the Operators Manual
  • Maintain a clean, neat, organized work area at all times.
  • Must be flexible and able to work any shift in support of business needs
  • Other duties as assigned.




Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be certified and able to operate Electric pallet jack, Forklift, Reach, Clamp
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong commitment to SAFETY
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, meet deadlines, and work with difficult individuals or task assignments
  • Relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: must get along with co-workers without exhibiting behavioral extremes;perform work activities requiring reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others;and respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of GOLD STOCK (SAP)
  • Detail oriented and excellent people skills
  • Must be able to read and understand numbers and labels.
  • This position requires associates to follow MHE Operations and Safe Driving practices, Safe Lifting, No Contact Policy, MHE Check out Process, and any other safety rules or policies.
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills




Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and relevant certifications and/or experience

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to work standing up or sitting down for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to traverse and access all areas of a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to work in a Distribution Center environment with a variation of temperatures.
